Set to create over 30,000 jobs in the next 15 years, access to the nbn™ network can give skilled workers and companies opportunities to stay in Gosford and harness global talent.
There are a number of IT companies popping up on the Coast and BlinkMobile is one of the great examples of a company diving headfirst into a digital future.
One of the founders and Chief Technology Officers, Alan Williams says it’s a company that wouldn’t have existed in a place like Gosford just a few years ago and tools such as the nbn™ network offer local companies opportunities to compete on a worldwide stage.
BlinkMobile is certainly being recognised by its global peers recently being awarded the “Best Enterprise Mobility Solution" at this year’s Cloud World Series Awards in London.
This was the only Australian company shortlisted for any of the award categories and was chosen amongst global nominees including AirWatch and Tangoe.
Alan says one of the reasons the nbn™ network has been fantastic for the business is the access to cloud services for employees.
Data like multimedia, webinars and software is all stored, shared and accessed in the cloud and it’s the nbn™ network which Alan says provides the company a pipeline into the sky to be able to utilise these tools – without this, he says the company wouldn’t be in business.
With Alan able to kayak, cycle or walk to work, it’s no secret that Gosford has one of the main ingredients for a great work/life balance!
