Taking Mobile Applications Sky High

BlinkMobile currently has a number of clients in the aviation sector, two of which are airport operators. One running the biggest airport in New Zealand, the other responsible for a series of regional airports throughout Queensland. Yet another client, is a provider of equipment and services to the aviation sector.

These clients typify the need for an enterprise mobility platform. They have a very diverse user base with equally diverse roles and daily work activities that are highly specific and with little crossover..

For example, the range of activity-based apps for the airport operator’s extend from a (runway) lighting inspection app, to recording inspections and maintenance tasks for various fixed and mobile assets, recording aircraft movement and timings, completing and submitting the CASA required ‘bird strike’ report, to something as fundamental as an app for the customer service officer lodging lost property enquiries into a SharePoint portal.
